Illustrator Bio

Sholto Morton is a Sydney-based painter who shows regularly and has been exhibited in several major Australian art prizes. His paintings are characterised by complex compositions, radiant colour, and flowing rhythms. Rather than centring on a single motif, the works present an abundance of abstract forms that emerge through an intuitive process. Created without a predetermined plan, each painting evolves as lines accumulate in harmony, spiralling together into dense, immersive fields of movement. The resulting works form intricate, obsessive mazes of linear energy that balance spontaneity with structure.
