Illustrator Bio

​Elizabeth Misek is an award-winning picture book illustrator and author from the Hunter Valley, Australia.
Working in traditional watercolour and pencil, Elizabeth creates unique worlds full of emotion and movement. Places characters can live in and children can return to again and again.

She won the New England Illustration Prize for Children’s Picture Book Publishing in 2023, and has since illustrated picture books including Peek-a-Boo, Here Comes Two by Chantel Volker. As an autistic and dyslexic creator, Elizabeth brings a deeply felt, visual way of seeing to her work. She loves creating illustrations that help children feel seen, spark imagination, and leave them believing anything is possible.
